環保署說明，台灣位於亞洲季風區內，夏季時，受大陸低壓與太平洋高壓的影響而吹西南風(夏季風場如圖1所示)。目前正處在8月炎熱夏季時節，正受旺盛的西南季風影響，完全不會受到地理位置在台灣西北部的天津所產生污染物擴散影響。

環保署：天津爆炸不會影響台灣空氣品質







環保署也利用美國海洋大氣總署(NOAA)軌跡模式，研判天津大爆炸受到當地風場的影響，污染物會先吹向東北方，並不會往南擴散到台灣。
